Burchett Grading, Inc. (BGI) is a full service grading, excavation and underground utility company that has been in business for over 20 years.  We are family owned and operated. 

President, Craig Burchett is a third generation heavy equipment operator and took over BGI in 2003.  Coming from a family of farmers, the family business was started by his father, Gene Burchett back in the 1970's in Temecula, long before the valley became a robust community and was mainly farmland.

Gene began his business mostly as an agricultural contractor. Most of the avocado groves in the De Luz area and many of the vineyards in wine country were prepped by Gene.  He was one of the only graders in town that would brave the steepest hills in De Luz.  He then branched into residential pads and put in many of the roads that we drive on today in Temecula.  

Gene had a reputation in the industry for having a keen eye as an operator and a man with great integrity.  He was loved by many in his community and known for his kind and genuine disposition.  When Craig was a baby, he would sleep on the floor  of the dozer next to his father's feet and fall asleep.  It was no surprise that Craig would follow in his father's footsteps, continuing the family legacy and upholding the reputation the Burchett name had.  Craig's knowledge and expertise falls nothing short of his father's talents and his demeanor is just the same; Craig is kind, genuine, honest and extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of general engineering.  Craig brings his extensive knowledge, experience, integrity and passion for dirt work that leaves nothing less than exceptional results.
